Pre-Orders

Occasionally, we will have items featured on the site that are not yet available to ship.  The item description page will give an estimated availability date and these items may be pre-ordered in the same manner as placing an order for an item that is available.  An e-mail confirmation will be sent once the pre-order is placed and the credit card will be charged.  Another e-mail will be sent with the estimated date of availability and delivery.  Pre-orders may be cancelled at any time for a full refund (including shipping) before the order is shipped.  Once the order is shipped, the standard return policy applies.   

Out of Stock

When an item has sold out it will either be removed from the site or there will be a message on the description page of the item explaining that it is currently unavailable.  If there is an item that you are interested in purchasing that is not available, please e-mail us at the Contact Us page with the item description and we will get back to you on any possible future availability.

Vintage Items

All vintage items sold on the Home Remedy site are in very good to excellent condition.  They will show their natural age and characteristics and we do our best to depict them in the truest light possible.  Please consider that these items have been lovingly used when making your purchase.  Any questions regarding specific vintage items are always welcome through the Contact Us page.

Ordering & Shipping

Once an order is placed, there will be an e-mail sent from Home Remedy confirming that the order was received.  All orders will be shipped via FedEx Ground service within 2-4 days of order payment confirmation.  Once the order has been processed, another e-mail will be sent confirming the order and shipping method.  Shipping charges are based on the order amount as follows:

Expedited shipping is possible in most cases, but will need to be confirmed via e-mail through the Contact Us page.  Please request an e-mail confirmation before placing an expedited shipping request.  The charges would be an additional $15 to the above rates for FedEx 2-Day and an additional $25 to the above rates for FedEx overnight.

At this time, we do not ship to any address outside of the United States and we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.

Sales Tax

All items and shipping charges for orders shipped within New York State will be charged an 8.875% sales tax.  All other orders will not be charged sales tax.

Gift Wrap

We will gladly gift wrap most items, depending on size, free of charge.  Please specify if you would like an item gift wrapped in the comment field when placing your order along with any personalized note you wish to include.

Return Policy

If any items arrive from Home Remedy damaged or defective, please Contact Us within 72 hours of receipt. 

Items in their original condition and packaging may be returned within 15 days from receipt for a full refund.  Shipping charges are not refundable.  Sale items are not eligible for return. 

Send an e-mail requesting a Return Authorization through the Contact Us page selecting “Return Request” as the reason for contact.  Please be sure to include your name, the original order number and your reason for return in the e-mail.  Shortly after receiving your e-mail, Home Remedy will send a response with your Return Authorization Number (RA#).  This number must be written on a copy of the original shipping receipt packaged along with the returned item, as well as written on the outside of the shipping box.  Please do not ship anything back to Home Remedy without an RA#.  Please package the return item very securely as any damages incurred due to improper packing will be the sole responsibility of the shipper.  All shipping fees for returns are at the shipper’s expense.  It is strongly suggested that some sort of traceable delivery method (i.e. FedEx, UPS, USPS) is used that includes insurance, proof of delivery and tracking information.  Home Remedy is not responsible for any lost returned shipments, and will not issue a refund for any deliveries shipped to us without proof of delivery to our address.

Order Security

All orders are processed through Paypal, which verifies the browser running Secure Sockets Layer 3.0 or higher with an encryption key length of 168 bits.

Privacy Policy

All personal information gathered by Home Remedy is used for the purpose of processing orders, maintaining communication, and enhancing the online shopping experience.  We will not sell or distribute to any third parties personal information gathered on this site.
